About Us
Meet the non-profit that has dressed over 3,000 young women for prom and given out over $48,000 in scholarships.
We are an organization that mobilizes our amazing community to empower young women by reminding them that there is an entire group of people who want to see them succeed. Through donation and volunteer work, we build a one-of-a-kind prom shopping experience to allow our applicants an opportunity to not only get a prom dress they love, but to be reminded that they are worthy. In 2024 we serviced 53 Title 1 Schools in the Los Angeles Area. Our annual BIG GIVE blossomed into a collaborative of multiple learning centers, as well as local high school special needs programs.
We dream up magical events and bring them to life so that our Maria's Closet girls never forget to keep dreaming big. We close out each year by awarding a select group of our college-bound seniors with financial scholarships - empowering them to pursue their aspirations.

Early Spring
Prom Dress Giveaway
AKA our Big Give Event! This is our no-cost prom shopping experience where hundreds of girls get the chance to find the prom dress of their dreams. They go home with a brand new designer gown and accessories to match that they select themselves with their personal stylist. They also leave with a swag bag full of goodies - make-up, self-care, specialty items, etc.
Spring
Willenberg Giveaway
Since 2021, we have been giving the exceptional women at Willenberg Career and Transition Center, which provides employment and training for young adults with disabilities, a chance to select a dress for their annual school dance. It is truly a magical day getting to watch them feel like a princess!
Late Spring
Scholarship Ceremony
Our senior Prom Dress Giveaway recipients have the opportunity to apply for our Scholarship Program. We select a group of truly hard-working and inspirational young women to receive monetary scholarships to help them pursue their secondary education. This past year in 2024 we partnered with KAIO foundation to provide our winners with brand new laptops as well.
